چکیده
The conducted study aimed to analyze the waste processing process from traditional ceremonies in Bali by examining composition of generated. Since most generated during these is a biodegradable organic material, it feasible use sustainable bioconversion techniques such as Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae convert this into useful products. In study, feeding trial was using garbage blender consisting banana fruit, rice, leaf, coconut and flower wastes. BSF were fed at rate 40 mg/larvae per day with total 200 larvae. researchers measured key parameters including overall degradation (OD), reduction index (WRI), feed conversion efficiency (ECD) which resulted values 41.27±0.42%, 3.30±0.03 g/day, 7.82±0.43%, respectively. found that dry residue produced around 30-31% met minimum standards set for compost or biomass fuel. Additionally, mass 16-18% one cycle, high protein source can be used animals.

Isolation and morphological study of ecologically-important insect “Hermetia illucens” collected from Roorkee compost plant
Certain species of Hermetia illucens, also known as the Black Soldier Fly(BSF), were found in a compost plant in Roorkee located in Northern India. Its larvae arevoracious eaters of organic waste, hence can play an ecologically-important role in solidwaste management. Morphological analysis of various stages of BSF life cycle by SEMshowed that its body along with its wings is densely covered wi...

متن کاملFrom organic waste to biodiesel: Black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, makes it feasible
Biodiesel is a renewable and environmentally friendly liquid fuel. However, the feedstock, predominantly crop oil, is a limited and expensive food resource which prevents large scale application of biodiesel. Development of non-food feedstocks are therefore, needed to fully utilize biodiesel’s potential. In this study, the larvae of a high fat containing insect, black soldier fly (Hermetia illu...
متن کاملFaecal sludge management with the larvae of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens)--from a hygiene aspect.
Inadequate and lacking sanitation and wastewater treatment systems can lead to the spreading of diarrhoeal diseases. One contributing factor in the lack of such treatment systems is the lack of economic incentives for stakeholders throughout the service chain. However, the organic fraction of the waste is high in valuable plant nutrients and could be reused in agriculture and as animal feed. Fo...
متن کاملModulation of nutrient composition of black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae by feeding seaweed-enriched media
Black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae are a promising source of protein and lipid for animal feeds. The nutritional composition of the BSF larvae depend partly on the composition of the feeding medium. The BSF lipid profile in part mimics the feeding media lipid profile, and micronutrients, like minerals and vitamins, can readily accumulate in black soldier fly larvae. However, investiga...
